In winter, the Weissensee Nature Park in southern Carinthia becomes a paradise for both active and peace-seeking people. The area offers a family skiing area, a quality-certified cross-country skiing El Dorado and the largest natural ice skating rink in Europe.

The small, fine skiing area at Lake Weissensee is the insider tip for your family skiing holiday in Carinthia. Look forward to a mix of slopes for young and old and a particularly child-friendly infrastructure, embedded in a unique winter mountain-lake combination.

The 6.5 km² large Weissensee is the largest constantly freezing and also prepared natural ice surface in Europe. The icy pleasure starts in mid-December.

cross country skiing

The sun-drenched Weissensee valley is known for its fantastic range of cross-country skiing. With more than 40 km of double-track and skating trails, practice trails for beginners, panoramic trails and dog hiking trails, you more than live up to your pioneering role in cross-country skiing.

Tobogganing

The 4 km long natural toboggan run leads from the Naggler Alm down into the valley and provides fun and adventure for the whole family.  Those who prefer to take it slower can book a comfortable and romantic ride in a horse-drawn carriage.
